Come out to the village and enjoy arts and crafts, games, printmaking, and more!
Dot Day is an international celebration of art, creativity, and courage. Inspired by author Peter H. Reynolds' book The Dot, a teacher introduced The Dot to his classroom in 2009 and started the now international celebration of Dot Day. Children and adults alike are encouraged to "Make their Mark" and explore the power and potential of creativity. Millions of people around the world celebrate Dot Day every September, and Sewickley will be joining in on the festivities for the third annual time.
A number of Sewickley shops will be participating in Dot Day this year, providing fun activities and displaying local students’ artwork. Students from local schools and daycare centers will Make their Mark and create dots, which will then be displayed all throughout the Sewickley business district for all to enjoy!
