About

Literacy Pittsburgh provides free educational programs for adults seeking to gain a GED credential, get better English skills, improve their reading or math skills, or upgrade their computer and workplace skills. Last year, we helped 4,000 people in Allegheny and Beaver Counties work toward their personal and professional goals. 


There are three main ways chamber members can help:

  • Become a volunteer tutor and work with students one to one or in a small group (or tell a friend!)
  • Help with the new Career Pathways program by hosting information sessions, attending Career Days, or providing job openings 
  • Sponsor the One Big Table: An International Tasting fundraiser in March 2027
