Mission:

The Sewickley Community Center, "The Center," is dedicated to providing affordable activities,

opportunities, and space to meet the diverse needs of the Sewickley Valley Area.

Development and Strategy Committee – Member Role Description

Purpose:

The Development and Strategy Committee supports the long-term sustainability and growth of

the Sewickley Community Center by strengthening and expanding community partnerships,

increasing awareness of the Center’s impact, and supporting events and fundraising efforts.

Time Commitment:

● Orientation to the Center: in person for one hour

● Meet once per month for one hour

● Additional engagement as needed for specific initiatives or opportunities

Key Responsibilities:

● Provide strategic input on community engagement and development opportunities

● Help identify community and corporate partners aligned with the Center’s mission

● Help support the annual Bingo event

● Identify and support creative opportunities to get engaged in the local community

● Serve as an ambassador for the Center by increasing visibility and awareness in the

community

Ideal Committee Members:

● Well-engaged within the community or local business landscape

● Interested in nonprofit impact

● Willing to leverage relationships and expertise to support the Center’s mission
