Sewickley Community Center prepares to unveil new Legacy Wall on Juneteenth
Located in Sewickley is a long-standing, pivotal organization: The Sewickley Community Center. Michael Divittorio of TribLive visited the Center early June to meet with Community Center Board Vice President, Stratton Nash, and Program Directory, Jaryd Boyer, to discuss a grand endeavor: creating a Legacy Wall. The Legacy Wall is to be a visual diary of the SCC's growth throughout the past 90 years, and will be unveiled on Saturday, June 21st, at the Community Center's Juneteenth Celebration.
Divittorio writes, "Jaryd Boyer believes the legacy of the Sewickley Community Center is something to be celebrated.
As a borough resident and the center’s first employee in more than 30 years, the recently hired program director is working with board members and local business owners to develop a Legacy Wall.
The wall will feature photos and mounted content of key community center milestones, along with QR codes that will send visitors to a cloud account that contains more data and pictures."

This Saturday, come out and support the Center's plans for regrowth, all while enjoying local performers, food vendors, family-friendly activities, and opportunities to learn and grow together. It’s a day filled with culture, joy, and togetherness—open to all who want to celebrate freedom, history, and the vibrant spirit of our community.
