Summer Fun and Sweet Jazz
Sweetwater Center for the Arts is excited to announce the return of Sweet Jazz, our popular indoor/outdoor concert series featuring some of the region’s top jazz talent. The outdoor performances will take place at Walnut Green, a favorite parklet and community space in Sewickley.
This year, the event has been reimagined in honor of the Center’s 50th Anniversary. Sweetwater has partnered with renowned Pittsburgh musician and educator Paul Thompson to curate the lineup, resulting in a unique opportunity to explore the origins and subgenres of jazz with some of Pittsburgh’s legendary musicians.
"I am honored and excited to help celebrate 50 years of Sweetwater and the outstanding Sweet Jazz series that has featured some of our region's finest Jazz musicians over the years,” said Thompson. “This year's line-up celebrates the culture, the tradition, and the variety that Jazz represents in its music and performers."
