This is what Dan Marsula strives to capture in each of his paintings. Choosing to focus on the stillness in life rather than the hectic, noisy world, Marsula invites viewers to appreciate the peacefulness of everyday life. “I want people to stop, to see, to feel that moment of quiet,” Marsula says. “We’re all rushing so much. But beauty is right there, in the common things.” It’s not just a scene that Marsula constructs in his paintings, but a feeling.
