The Lindsay's Third Annual Documentary Series
Friday, August 29, 2025
Description
The Lindsay Theater and Cultural Center's Third Annual Documentary Series will take place from Aug. 29-Sept. 11. This year's lineup includes:
• Rebel With a Clause, a hilarious and thought-provoking travelogue chronicling a “roaming grammarian’s” conversations with fellow grammar enthusiasts across all 50 states.
• Art for Everybody, which reexamines the career of commercially successful (and critically reviled) American artist Thomas Kinkade.
• Sanibel, a film about seashell merchants in Southwest Florida that morphed into a meditation on grief and perseverance following the devastation wrought by Hurricane Ian.
• Single-Use Planet, which enlists many Western Pennsylvanians—including Beaver residents— to explore the political and economic factors that have led to so much single-use plastic ending up in our oceans.
• Caregiving, a Bradley Cooper-produced PBS documentary about the challenges and triumphs of caring for a sick or aging loved one.
• Georgia O'Keeffe: The Brightness of Light, a comprehensive window into the “Mother of American Modernism’s” career, life and remarkable talent.
